Irons in the fire - January 30, 2010

I'm about six songs deep into ENCHANTER and have a few more to go. Also have been working on a THOMAS AYRESOL release to be out soon on TEXISTENTIAL WAVEFORM as usual. A lot of distractions lately. Been absorbing a lot of inspirational music. I should have another live show together later this year. Getting into the whole background video thing takes on a life of it's own. The grass roots solo musician approach gets a little onerous when you expect what I do. Complexity is a pleasure and a burden.

Not lazy - July 30, 2009

Wow, its been a while since I updated. I didn't even turn the page over for the TRANSIENT release. I guess I was focused on shows and so forth. I have also been busy getting some releases done on the TEXISTENTIAL WAVEFORM label. I have been doing some equipment upgrades, which is distracting in a pleasant way. I am also working on my next release to be titled ENCHANTER. Likely out in 2010, but not sure when. So you see, I am working.

Hangin in the Tomato Shed - March 1, 2009

The Tomato Shed show went off well. Check out the pics and YouTube videos on MySpace. Special thanks to Jason for setting up the show and doing the video work. Look for more shows here in the future. In other news, I am back in the studio starting my next cd. I recently had a great jam with J. Andrew Bobbitt and Thomas Ayresol here in GOOD headquarters. There are going to be some rereleases of J. Andrew Bobbitt and Overlight/Underdark stuff on the Texistential Waveform label. Get your stimulus check cashed and get caught up on some of this historical music. Thats right, now you can get it!

TRANSIENT - January 28, 2009

My new cd is out on CDBaby and soon to be on digital distribution. This is music I did for the Avant Garden show in October of 2008. These songs were recorded live while practicing. Special thanks to everyone at the show that night as well as the supporting artists Thomas Ayresol and Jeff Bobbitt. This is an all instrumental venture. I have another show in Tyler TX at The Tomato Shed soon. So if you missed the show, now is your chance to check it out. After that, its back to the studio for more Good antics.

Avant Garden 10/28/08 - October 26, 2008

The show kicked ass. Thanks to everyone who came out. Special thanks to my brother who ran lighting for my set. Check out the pics and video. Got to open for J. Andrew Bobbitt and Thomas Ayresol, so the whole night rocked. More to come. I am working on TRANSIENT which will be based on various recordings of the set. Thanks to Avant Garden for providing the perfect environment.

Showtime - September 29, 2008

After years of preparation, I am finally getting around to doing a show. Avant Garden, Friday October 24th at 8pm. Eddie Parsec is DJing and I am opening for J. Andrew Bobbitt with Thomas Ayresol closing the show out. Light show full tilt to boot. I am glad to work with these fantastic musicians who have been a tremendous influence to me. We go way back. We go way forward. This is a very cool venue with a lot of class and great vibes. Don't miss it.

Review - September 19, 2008

I have gone off about Aural Innovations before so no point in doing it again. It is THE place to discover space rock and odd music in general. A true ear to the underground. There is a nice review on the site now so here is the link :

Eddie Parsec Remix - July 29, 2008

Check out the EDDIE PARSEC remix of Global Warming on his MySpace website myspace.com/eddieparsec. Its labeled "Artist GOOD". He has some really interesting ways of messing with music and has been inspiring to me. Thanks Eddie!

Secret code for HELL LEVEL - May 10, 2008

I can get you through it with unlimited ammo. This is the new release from THOMAS AYRESOL on our mutual label TEXISTENTIAL WAVEFORM. The Ayresol experience live is quite different from the studio. You either have to catch a show or buy this cd...so decide! I was glad to offer assistance in recording and design. Look for more releases from us. Now is your chance to reload.

Fanatics arise! - April 13, 2008

The new cd FANATIC is available now on CD Baby. Soon to be in digital distribution as well. Check out the sample tracks at CD Baby or on MySpace. Out on the TEXISTENTIAL WAVEFORM label run by myself and co-executive THOMAS AYRESOL. My next project involves generating a live show, and working on the GOOD/AYRESOL collaboration.

Out of the darkness... - October 18, 2007

And into the light. Stage light. In preparation for the live show I will eventually get around to doing, I have started getting into performance lighting. I will be supporting some shows in the near future. Now dance...before I blast ya.

Not just an update - June 21, 2007

So the MySpace thing has worked out well. My next CD is about half way done. I am shooting for a 2008 release. Some hints may start showing up on the MySpace page so keep it on your radar.

I caved - November 15, 2006

So I guess I am going to try the MySpace thing for a while. It does seem like there is a lot of band networking, which is good. Some of it sort of bugs me like the ads and the blogs. So here it goes. It may give me a chance to do some silly stuff and then you can always come back to my website for the "hard news". Its in the links section.

The Next Horizon - August 25, 2006

The ITS JUST JAM episode is just about behind me. Thanks to everyone who gave it a spin or a chance. The next frontier involves a project with THOMAS AYRESOL. I will be working on my next release as well. Ears up. Be vigilant.

Space Rock indeed - July 10, 2006

Now on Aural-Innovations Space Rock Radio show #154. There is a lot of great music being fired out of this site. I'm proud to be part of it. Space Rock...the eternal frontier. Speaking of...Thomas Ayresol and I had a fantastic jam session this past weekend. "Space Rock" would only begin to describe what happened. Expect a release out of it in the future. Keep your ear to the horizon.

I don't like lyrics - June 27, 2006

I don't like lyrics. I don't like writing them, I don't like singing them. I don't like singing in front of others. It is the worst part of music writing but I suppose it has to be done. So the lyrics section is up, but I don't recommend it.

Enjoy Name Dropping? - June 27, 2006

There are few greater pleasures for me than to run into another music afficianado and engage in the art of name dropping. I decided to dedicate a whole page to this persuit. It is a great way to find new music. Feel free to drop some my way. We should all fulfill our moral duty to filter through music so that all mankind can hear the best life has to offer.

Relax in The Electronic Cottage - June 26, 2006

Thanks again to Jerry at Aural-Innovations for the spot on The Electronic Cottage show #21. This is a show that focuses on the electronic and ambient side of life.

Drinking Out of the Drool Trough - June 12, 2006

It sounds wrong but you should try it. Just go to Aural-Innovations.com and dive in. I really like this site. Its got spacerock, aliens, independent musicians...and now GOOD on Drool Trough Radio show #48.

Now on Live365 - May 30, 2006

Thanks to Anulka at Sombre Reptiles for my first confirmed internet radio play on Live365. I'm not sure why their reptiles are so somber with all the good music going on all the time. Check it out.

Ears up!!! - May 24, 2006

My donkey Milton has the right idea. Keep an ear out for ITS JUST JAM on your local college radio station. Bryan Farrish Promotions will be doing their best to get my music out to the farthest reaches of the universe. Listen.

Catching Airplay - May 8, 2006

Thanks to Chris Waterbury from the Musical Transportation Spree KFAI 90.3 in Minneapolis MN for the honor of my first confirmed radio play. His show hosts a blend of electronic and eccentric music on Friday nights at midnight. Let him forever be immortalized.
